The year of uranium's fortunes has been long coming. Gerardo Del Real believes that the bull market for the commodity is just beginning.

"Most of the companies Nick (Hodge), and I recommended -- their past three to four months have seen them rise 10 fold from their 52-week lows. In an interview, he explained that investors and speculators feel they have missed the run.

"But, for those of us who are watching or reading it, it's still in its very early stages. "We are not anywhere near where this Uranium Bull Cycle is headed," said Del Real, co-owner of Digest Publishing.

He is optimistic about the future and believes that uranium could reach new highs within the next 12-18 months.

Del Real stated that "I think the very few quality name that exist -- there are not many of them out there -- will absorb so much capital that valuations are going out the window and that rationale is going to be completely destroyed." Investors and speculators should consider companies that have assets in good jurisdictions, and are managed by people who have experience in uranium.

He also mentioned gold, which is not as optimistic. Many market participants are frustrated by the high price of yellow metal last summer and want more.

Del Real sees the positive side of this situation. He noted that the macro setup for gold is still right and he said he will continue to add undervalued companies in his portfolio.

He said that the gold price was frustrating for many of the experienced speculators who believe inflation is here. However, it isn't transitory. Budgets are out of control and aren't sustainable. "Everything is happening exactly as we expected it to -- (so) where are all-time highs and the excitement in the gold space?" He explained that this is the chance.
